Meet Early Years Inclusion Consultant: Katrina O’Brien
I am a Senior Early Years Inclusion Consultant / Senior Speech Pathologist with Autism Queensland. I have close to twenty years’ experience working as a Speech Pathologist within the Early Years space.
Over the past ten years, I have been fortunate to work in many of Autism Queensland’s therapy services. Including group therapy programs as a Group Leader / Speech Pathologist and a in variety of individual and group therapy services.
Before moving to Queensland, I lived and worked in Melbourne and country Victoria. I enjoyed travelling around and providing Speech Pathology supports with the Department of Education and in also in Private Practice.
I am passionate about providing all children with a voice and means to communicate in their own way. I value connecting and taking the time to learn about children’s individual needs, strengths, and interests together with educators and families to work together to provide a supportive, enriching environment for children to grow and learn. I thank you for inviting me into your space to work alongside you. I look forward to working with you and your centre to achieve your goals for enhancing inclusion and learning.
