Meet Early Years Inclusion Consultant: Emily Wood

I am an Early Years Inclusion Consultant and Early Years Teacher with Autism QLD. I joined Autism Queensland in 2023 and I am loving it.

I have worked as a Kindy teacher for approximately 20 years, alongside other roles such as Educational Leader and Director. Most of my career has been in Cairns where I live with my family.

I am passionate about children’s wellbeing and believe that all children have a right to feel safe and valued. I strongly believe that building positive relationships with children will instill a sense of confidence and belonging and will facilitate their learning and development.

I am looking forward to collaborating with early childhood services to support them to ensure all children feel welcome and included in their space.
