Meet Early Years Inclusion Consultant: Colleen Power

I am an Early Years Inclusion Consultant and Early Years Teacher with AQ.

After commencing my working life as a OSHC Coordinator and then a primary school teacher, I have since spent most of my career as an Early Childhood Teacher working in Long Day Care and Kindy programs in the Mackay/Sarina region. I also have experience working in the role of Educational Leader and am passionate about guiding educators along their inclusion journey from program to practice.

I have been fortunate to have received training and experience in a range of educational approaches as well as inclusive and autism specific practices/strategies and enjoy sharing this knowledge with others. The neurodiverse affirming journey I am travelling with two children is something I draw on to connect with other families and educators who are blazing their own trail.
